Based in Canada's capital city Ottawa, as the founder and owner of the popular Duke's Photo Studio, Duke is a professional photographer specialized in portraits and events with more than ten years of experience. He loves shooting weddings, family portraits, children, concerts, galas and sports. As an art lover since childhood, he fell in love with photography at the age of 28 when he first had a Canon point-and-shot camera in China. His serious consideration of doing photography started at about ten years ago when he got a Canon Rebel T1i with kit lens EF-S 18-55mm and a telephoto lens EF-S 55-250mm. The colorful world captured through the lens amazed him! Later his great passion in photography brought him many opportunities to serve the community as a photographer for:

-Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival (Ottawa ChamberFest) 2011-2014

-Jia Hua Cup Beach Volleyball Tournament 2012-2018 (except 2016)

-TTVG Cup Indoor Volleyball Tournament 2011-2018

-2019  Ottawa Internal Youth Art Festival

-2019 Inspire Dance Challenge Ottawa Area

From fall 2014 to fall 2019, he was commissioned to cover eight major variety shows in Centrepointe Theater and Algonquin Commons Theater including: 

-"Songs from the Sweat Homeland " 2014, 2015, 2016

-“Chinese Spring Festival Gala"  2018, 2019 by Huaxing Art Group Ottawa and the Canada-China Culture and Art  Association.  

-"Chinese New Year 2015 CARNIVAL CHINA"

-the large scale musical epic "The Peace of the World 2015"

Now he is a freelance photographer with his own studio, as well as the contract photographer of on-location services for Photos Unlimited, the mother company running more than 300 WALMART/SEARS Photo Studio across Canada and US.
